ARTIST: GRACE FACEQUISITE
My work experience includes working on Beauty campaigns, Fashion shows, Beauty pageants,
Editorial makeup, writing beauty articles / Tips & Advice and TV makeup. I also had a stint doing
makeup for a film project. I have been privileged to work with some of the greatest Designers and
photographers around. I have also worked with celebrity and non celebrity clients. However I find it
more fulfilling working on an unknown person as they tend to be more appreciative.
I am a very creative person and I love to express myself through my creativity, especially through
creating different makeup looks. You can usually find out what mood am in just by looking at the
type of makeup look am wearing. I am very adventurous with colour, and not scared to wear bright
colours on my eyes. This is the same discipline I try to instil in my trainees. If you can rock your
look then go for it. Stand out in the crowd, be unique, be yourself. However at the same time know
which look is suitable to your client. eg the makeup look for a music video will not be appropriate for
a bride, as it will be too much, and bridal makeup will appear too subtle for a music video, unless of
course the music video is about brides, but even then there is a difference in the application.
